iBall has launched its first Android tablet Slide in the Indian market priced at Rs 13,995.
iBall Slide is the latest to join bandwagon of cheap android tablet (well not literally) or affordable Android tablets market in India at the moment: Reliance 3G Tab, Beetel Magiq, Magnum Pepper Tablet PCand the Mercury mTab.
iBall Slide comes with one of the most stable and powerful 1 GHz processor giving an engine for excellent performance and experience. Sporting a 7-inch capacitive multi-touch display, Slide has a 2 megapixel front camera, USB host and HDMI output.
As for the memory, the tablet will pack 8GB built-in memory which can be expanded up to 32GB. Powered by 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, the tablet will run Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS. For connectivity, iBall Slide will come with Bluetooth, WiFi and 3G (via Dongle, not built-in). The device is said to be capable of giving up to 6.5 hours of uptime on audio or 5 hours of battery backup on video viewing.
You can also attach USB pen drive to copy to or from the device. Also use keyboard or mouse or through USB port. USB OTG let’s you connect the device to PC / Laptop
The tablet provides the facility of Visual search, Voice actions, web browsing, e-mail, chat, social networking, music and HD video, gaming, e-book, news, weather and several applications from the Android market. It is loaded with “Documents to go” that would help users to work on MS Word, MS excel, MS PowerPoint and PDF attachments.
iBall has roped in Hrithik Roshan as the brand ambassador for this android tablet.
